Blue Springs, Alabama was the small town Susan Ellison's mother grew up in...and that is where it all started.



Growing up in Alabama, Susan enjoyed all the hospitality found everywhere in the South. Surrounded by creative women, Susan first fell in love with old textiles and linens at an early age. She first learned about quilts from both grandmothers and learned to appreciate the work and the art of creating an heirloom quilt. The world of quilts opened the door to all kinds of textiles. After moving to California, Susan traveled all across the United States and Europe looking for old textiles and linens. “Today I’m in love with mixing patterns and colors, old and new. I especially love our vintage pillows. They are so unique and really make a statement.”, says Susan. Her Southern California store “Blue Springs Home” is filled with Indigo blue pillows made from vintage fabrics from all over the world. Not just indigo blue, her store has Vintage textiles and European fabrics collected from everywhere. Kantha quilts from India are a personal favorite and this store has hand selected the best. Old Suzani textiles and pillows are a specialty of this unique European inspired shop.

Blue Springs Home can boast of having some of the best Linen lines in the country. Always well stocked and over stocked, this store proudly carries linen lines such as: Bella Notte Linens, John Robshaw, Matteo, Libeco Belgian Linen, Abanjá, SDH, Pom Pom, and Les Indiennes. Plus many smaller lines carefully hand picked for their style and uniqueness! Once Milano Italian Linens, Sefte throw blankets in Boucle Wool and Alpaca are fabulous. Marcel Miller organic cotton coverlets from Peru are known for their softness and great colors. Plus many more! Customers can be personally helped by Susan and her helpful staff to create a beautiful bed. Bedding is always in stock!

Susan will tell you that her shop is a tribute to her mother, and all the Southern women in her life that helped instill a love for fabrics and design.
